Christmas Gift Ideas For The Office Party Gift Exchange
Posted by Janice Wee under Christmas Ideas
You know the Christmas gathering where everyone is to bring a
gift for the gift exchange?
In some cases, you might draw names so you'd know exactly who
you will be getting the gift for. It helps to some extent if you
know the gender and have a rough idea about the age of the
recipient, but often, the recipient may be someone you don't
know well.
To get a great gift for someone, it is best to get something
that corresponds with his or her interests. Failing which, a
generic gift that is gender specific, but does not have any
hidden implications would be best. For example, a girl might get
perfume. A guy might get cologne. Just don't give underwear. Or
anything too personal for that matter. It can lead to
misunderstandings. If you know the person loves golf, then
something golf related, like a collectible golf figurine or, if
you can afford it golfing gear, would be perfect. The better you
know the recipient's interests, the easier it would be to get
him or her that gift for the gift exchange.
Usually, in these gift exchanges, you don't know in advance who
might get your gift. The gifts are put together for a lucky draw
so to speak. The recipient of your gift may be a guy or a girl.
He could be the oldest or youngest person in the office. Or the
most conservative. Or the office clown.
How do you buy a gift for someone when you don't even know who
that someone is going to be?
Try something generic. A beautiful gift that can be displayed in
the home or the office. But make it unusual.
A photo frame is just too common. A vase is a better bet, but if
possible, get something more unique. With more personality.
Go for collectible figurines within your budget as they are far from boring.
Each is an artwork in its own right and speak well of the giver. You.
